We are happy to announce the list of top 50 winners of our annual essay competition tagged ‘Generation Y Governorship Essay Competition’.
In line with our vision of developing leaders for public and civic space in Nigeria, we rolled out this competition early in 2020 to keep students and young professionals engaged during lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were asked to write a well researched manifesto as a 2023 gubernatorial candidate for their respective states.
We received over 1,200 entries from across the 36 states and FCT. Top 50 winners have been selected for recognition while top 3 winners will go home with scholarship awards.
Each entry was painstakingly assessed by our panel of seasoned judges. Judges were selected based on merit and their long-term experience in governance and civil society activities.
